Pentagon

Objective:

Sketch a Pentagon.

 
1.- Divide 360 by the number of sides of 

     the polygon that you whish to sketch.

    - In this example we are sketching a

     pentagon ( 5-sided polygon).

                     360/5=72 degrees 

    - Place the center of the protractor at the 

      center of the circle O and measure 72 degrees .

    - With your compass, measure the arc distance

     AB as shown in step1.
2.- Using the same arc distance AB , make five

      "cuts" to the perimeter of the circle and 

      label each of these "cuts" as shown in

      step 2
3.- Connect points A, B, C, D, and E as shown

     in step 3.
